FAQ

ARE SHELVES INCLUDED?

Shelving down both sides is included as standard, please advise at order if you require them to be removed prior to delivery.

WHAT TEMPERATURE RANGE DO THEY OPERATE?

Our trailers are both fridge or freezer trailers. They can be set to operate anywhere between -20 to 15 degrees Celsius. Please advise upon delivery which temperature you would like set.

CAN I COLLECT AND TOW MYSELF?

Unfortunately not, our insurance does not allow self towing and once delivered the trailer towing eye and wheels will be locked for security purposes. If you require the trailer to be moved whilst on hire please contact us to arrange.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY FOR DAMAGED PRODUCTS?

Core Hire Ltd cannot accept any responsibility for lost product stored within our trailers in the event of a failure. Please ensure you have separate cover for this if required.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE HIRE?

Payment can be made via bank transfer or through the invoice or website payment link.

WHAT POWER SUPPLY IS REQUIRED?

We provide a 20m extension lead with a 240V 16AMP plug with a 13AMP adaptor (Domestic 3 pin plug). It is down to the hirer to plug and turn on and ensure there is adequate spare capacity within the network you intend to connect to. 


If you need an additional length lead please let us know at point of hire. 

Our trailers can also be connected to generator power, see below FAQ regarding this for more info.

HOW SECURE ARE THE TRAILERS?

Wheel locks and hitch locks will be applied on delivery. Keys for these will be removed from site. 

Our trailers have a lockable door closing system with internal emergency release. We will provide you with a key and spare for the rear doors for duration of hire. (There is a £15.00 Charge for lost keys)

WHAT DO THE GROUND CONDITIONS NEED TO BE LIKE?

Ground needs to be firm, flat and level. We deliver the trailers with a 4 x 4 vehicle. As such we need an access and delivery location that could comfortably take a trailer & pick up truck with enough space to turn around.

HOW DOES DELIVERY AND COLLECTION WORK?

Delivery - Upon confirmation of hire you will be given a window for delivery. On the day of delivery we will confirm a 1 hour time slot for delivery.

Our team will deliver the trailer to your desired location, set up the extension lead for you to connect. Once turned on they will check and set the temperature range as per your request. 

Collection - On booking you will be given a collection window. On the morning of collection this will be confirmed with a 1hr slot.

HOW DOES THE HIRE PROCESS WORK?

Use our enquiry form to send in your requirements. We will send you a quotation for the desired hire period.
Once happy with the quotation you can accept it online to confirm. At which point you will be automatically sent an invoice for the deposit amount to secure your dates.
The remainder of the invoice must be cleared in full a minimum of 21 days prior to hire start in order to finalize booking. 
Once confirmed or whilst on hire, you can extend the booking if you require and this would be done on an additional per day basis. 
Cancellations and rescheduling are free minus the deposit amount with 21 days notice prior to your hire start. Should a cancellation be made with less than 21 days notice we would not be able to refund monies paid.

DO I HAVE TO BE ON SITE FOR DELIVERY OR COLLECTION?

We require upon delivery a site contact to meet us at the venue to do a handover instructional. Collection can be arranged without a site contact if we can agree a location for keys to be left.

DO I HAVE TO CLEAN THE TRAILER BEFORE GIVING BACK?

No, all we ask is that you remove all food stuffs and rubbish and give it a general sweep out. We will take the trailer away for a clean prior to the next hire.
Should the trailer be returned needing extensive cleaning, it may attract an additional charge.

WHAT IF I WANT TO EXTEND OR CANCEL MY HIRE?

Extensions whilst on hire are generally not a problem, subject to season and availability and will be calculated on an additional per day rate.
Cancellations must be given with 21 days notice.

IS VAT APPLICABLE?

Yes, all our prices shown are excluding VAT.

IS THERE LIGHTING IN THE TRAILER?

Yes, all our trailers have an internal light.

WE DONT HAVE ON SITE POWER?

Generally a 3KVA generator would comfortably power one trailer for a day. 
Unfortunately at this stage we dont provide these as an additional hire option.

CAN I LEAVE THE TRAILER DOORS OPEN?

No, it is important to maintain temperature that the doors remain shut when not in use.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF BREAKDOWN?

In the unlikely event of a breakdown please first check the power supply. Usually the issue will simply be a loss of power from the power source or a tripped distribution board. 
In the event of a cooling unit failure, contact us at the earliest available opportunity and avoid repeated opening of the doors if possible to retain temperature. We will send an engineer out to assess the issue and aim to get the trailer back on line. 
In the highly unlikely event we are unable to fix the isuue or resource a replacement a full refund of the hire will be provided. 
We cannot refund or cover loss of goods as that would be down to your insurers.
